It is mainly composed of 5 layers: skin, adhesive, honeycomb core, adhesive, and skin.<\/p>
Materials with high tensile and compressive strength are best suited for making skins, i.e. aluminum, steel, and fiberglass.<\/p>
Adhesive varies widely by application: high strength, high temperature, low temperature, etc.<\/p>
